CYQ Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to be able to provide sports massage (soft tissue therapy) to a range of clients who have no underlying pathological conditions.

On completion of the qualification, learners can apply for full membership of the Sports Therapy Organisations (STO). STO membership enables registration with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK regulator for Complementary Healthcare, and entitles learners to use the title Registered Sports Massage Practitioner.

Learners are encouraged to be responsible for their own learning and fully participate throughout all aspects of the course. A course timetable will be posted to you once your enrolment has been completed, before the start of the course.

A pre-requisite for all of the above courses is that you have experience participating within the gym and/or studio environment.

Learners are required to bring pens and paper for all theory sessions, along with appropriate exercise clothing and footwear for practical sessions. It is also suggested that all students have a change of clothing for their own comfort and hygiene.
You can study this course over a length of time that is suitable to you. It can be done as quickly as a few weeks/months, or a year – depending on how much time you have to study and your knowledge to date. You will need to attend 6 taught days, which covers both the theory and practical application of massage. You will need to complete some worksheets in your own time. There will be some study to do at home, but you will be provided with study materials to work from.

Everest Fitness Education will ensure there is an expert tutor available (times to be agreed) on a weekly basis and you will be assigned a study coach to guide and assist you through the qualification.
